man neither of the HBO episodes are hitting the same notes as the web series for me. funny to see deacon from king of queens in an HBO series.
biggest LOL was the very end when beecher says (paraphrasing) "this isn't a drug, this is weed!" and he slams the door in the guy's face.

I thought they were going to split the ep in two like the last one but I was so happy they didn't. That one was pure joy

there's a definite shift in what they're doing but i feel like the second ep demonstrates that they are finally figuring out how to use that shift to their advantage somehow. i'm just a sucker for zoomed-narratives and I think they have a really solid talent for curating those kinds of things.

loved amy ryan, thought the flip was great, and think both dan stevens and katja's characters are some of the most boring this show has ever highlighted.
he's a chill bro who they couldn't make interesting so they made him wear dresses because who cares

Dog episode has been the best so far. Swinger one the worst.

I think they've handled the HBO transition really. The dan & katja part is probably more enjoyable in context of having seen the web series though. Their's was always my favorite episode

i thought the latest episode was very nice, though it didn't really hit any emotional beats, unless you consider where quinn's ended up since we last saw her in stevie.

I just got around to watching last week's, I thought it was really great. I particularly enjoyed Peter Friedman yelling "Don't put me on blast" during the argument at the end.

Also took me until the 10 minute mark to remember which episode of the web series Quinn was in. But when it clicked, I laughed.

i'm enjoying this well enough but other than the dog ep it hasnt come close to being as emotionally satisfying or funny as the web series consistently was.
and theres only two eps left.
this one was def better than the first few at least.

This show is fine.
at them thinking the ending of the first half was amibiguous. Second half a little too meta for its own good.

it's like they're still writing the same amount of content for the tv show as they were with the web series and just filling the rest of the time with montages of people wearing hip clothes
