i started poking into potions and i was like "oh this is pretty fun" and then i respecced to be a potion dork and i was like "OH THIS IS THE FUCKIN BEST"

water hag decoction (+50% damage at full health) + ekimmara decoction (damage to foes heals) = <|:^)

i used to use katakan too (+5% crit chance) but now i get +50% crit chance per enemy killed in a fight so i save the toxicity for tawny oil and thunderbolt

im Big Damage Crap

i absolutely love love love strong attack/alch build to the point where i think ill use it in any future playthroughs. just to say that if anyone's been thinking about building that way but afraid to jump in, im here, saying, "go ahead!"

but if you play differently...well, friend, that's just fine by me. room for all kinds in the head of Geralt Witchem

look we are helping black sugar out friend here and rolling with fast attack seems a lot easier than other dodging or the potions

i think light-dodging + fast attack is probably the easiest way to play because you have plenty of stamina to keep quen up + you don't have to think about positioning or animations very much

rolling seems easier but i think it might be secretly harder

blacksugar if you dont want to deal with it, you can send me your computer and ill install it

I feel like the phantom thieves are in my chest battling the awkward lord of gaming anxiety and we're not on safety mode but normal or even hard mode, and that bird is still sitting there with the same look, no shit! but I'm going to try again, tomorrow

I'm not convinced you need to ever use a potion or oil if played on the easiest setting

probably not but it does open the combat up a lot and make it feel better

but it's all 'for your pleasure'

do lots of stuff before the bird! also a lot of battles can be made a lot easier if u do some sleuthing beforehand as monsters are a fickle thing.

I think being able to easily get ur health and potions back the moment ur outta a fight is p good tho!! Not utterly fail safe but u can easily run away to do that.

you don't even get to use grandmaster armour for all that long because of how xp stacked toussaint is so be careful about that if you enjoy the witcher bonuses, i mean you can keep wearing it but outright armour bonuses normally win out for me

also nice that they finally got fur on the ursine armor and the wolven armor to not look like chintzy shit
