BTW maybe you all are more savvy than me, but I literally just realized last time I was at the theater that you accumulate a shitton of AMC rewards points by being a stubs member. you earn $5 credits to spend on food and drinks and I assume also tickets. I had like $50 worth of credit accumulated lol
got my amc working again but have only watched 1 film there in the past 2 and a half months. my plan is to see 8 films in the next 2 months so i feel i didn't waste money then cancel it
having amc made it so i never went to any other theaters and i missed a lot of good indie stuff like at the laemmle

Sounds amazing. Do they let you bring the beer into the theater?

yes! every amc here has a full bar next to the concession stand now and you can drink in all showings.
ugh i just got a notice that regal theaters are opening back up july 10th and i couldnt be less interested and want to cancel my membership. theyre giving me a “free month” and wont be charged again until august but not even my own work is bringing us back into the building until october... and im expecting a big resurgence of covid cases regardless the way people have been handling this...
i mean theres threats of AMC going under so im not sure what theaters will look like after this year but i definitely want to take a break on a monthly membership until theres a *real* low covid risk or a vaccine/cure

it was really great but buying the tickets was a pain
they cancelled my account for some unspecified fraud just before i would have broken even so for me it was a huge pain to buy tickets just to end up spending like $5 more than i would have if i had just bought them from the theater
