there are always a million sublets going in berlin cos everyone is broke and an expat so people travel lots. try wg-gesucht.de for temporary rentals. and there are lots of FB sublet groups too. be wary of scams tho, there are lots.
anyone wanna buy my john reed card? membership is until end of december, card gives you access to all the john reed/hi5/mcfit gyms. usually costs 25 euro a month, will sell for 15euro a month/60 euro all up. i wanna switch to super fit cos it's closer to my house/has bodypump classes and just wanna get back some of the costs so i don't feel guilty paying for two gym memberships lol

Kumpel & Keule has good steak which is hard to find in Berlin, and they prob got some local whiskey which is called Korn. Or swing by Adana Grillhaus and eat a table of lamb chops and swig raki.

If you make it down to Potsdam and visit Sanssouci, get the steak and bacony green beans at this weird little place in the middle of a garden colony - the food is fantastic, and I'm sure they have great Korn: https://goo.gl/maps/cYRtUrybTeHKA6LJ9
been working on my dang visa application for about a month straight. realistically i coulda probably gotten it all done in like a week but u gotta wait for flaky ppl to respond to you for letters and shit like that and also i have the brain melt (adhd maybe lol) so everything takes like 6 times longer to do than it should, unless of course it's due the next day in which case u get everything done in a third of the time it takes a normal person.
anyway i have one dang document left to wrangle w my shitty/entire lack of german skills and then its DONE!!!! done!!!! a few days earlier than anticipated!!!!! pls send me auslanderbehorde hopes and prayers u guyz <3
How'd that visa go @bill? I'm heading up to Berlin tomorrow with my fiancé and she lived there for a couple of years a while back so don't necessarily need any reccs but I'll still hear 'em if there are any going. Mostly just can't stand the visa cliffhanger!

Yo bill congrats on getting a visa! I am luckily here on a British passport. However, right now I'm up against what feels like the final boss of German bureaucracy. A lady from the FInanzamt barged into my old WG, told them she was legally allowed to break into the apt, and said she was looking for me. I'm living in an apt right now illegaly, so I haven't registered my address yet. I've been trying to get in touch with this lady, but all she gave my roommates was a card with a phone number and fax on it, no email. I've been calling the phone incessantly for the last couple of days and it'll ring and ring, but there's no answering machine!!!! It's totally insane!
It's like if the IRS was after someone but refused to pick up the phone!
The government's policy package includes plans to limit the use of fertiliser to tackle nitrate pollution in groundwater, and phase out the controversial weedkiller glyphosate by 2023 to protect insect populations.
Is it hard to find cast iron pans in Berlin? I have this overwhelming anxiety I will regret not bringing one. Counterpoint of course is they’re so heavyyyy
We are comin zuruck Tuesday! Living in Friedrichshain this time. Still looking for a permanent place tho so plz holler if you hear of one
