My only complaint about the 10th anniversary ep is that only having 1-2 guests on at a time kind of takes away from the big show magic CBB still brings sometimes where the interactions between everyone get insane. Otherwise, very cool though, and can't wait to get to Carl/Ego/Zeke's part.

Do other podcasts do ads for not getting hit by a train, or is that just the kind of audience the boys have?

they mention this on this week's YKS. my demographic is pretty much "guy who enjoys not getting hit by trains" so i'd say it's pretty spot on.

I've heard this ad on The Ringer podcasts too. They definitely don't have as much fun with it.

Dunc'd On just had it too and it was fucking weird and sincere and I kind of dug it, tbh

super glad you all like it. god i'm relistening to their 2nd ever episode "In the Glass of Her Boudoir" from Sept. of last year for like the 3rd time and just cracking up. it was current at the time/dated now but their Call Me By Your Name take is so spot on for me.
i hope i can afford to subscribe to their patreon soon! my friend said it has a ton of extras

I figured the train ad was just a PSA placement they could try to measure against other ad placements performance

they're just so naturally funny, like their energy is rolling from the moment the recording starts, and they are able to crack each other up without seemingly trying. they've been doing more "radio drama" type shows with editing and characters lately, like the Drag Race sendoffs that began this new season, but i honestly like it best when it's just the two of them chatting unplanned about whatever

I probably have a lot of thoughts on the CBB10. But jeez I got really sad hearing Chelsea Peretti and Adam Scott in there. Wasn’t ready for that.
Also the team of Ego and Carl is incredible

I listened ad free this week and then the thread made me listen to the fully leased version.
I’ll be honest, I don’t enjoy the Santaman/Moriarty ads. Pretty much all the others are good though.

Hayes on Buckets - really funny to hear, after months of them saying “we don’t have anything against the Sixers, we don’t care, the fact is their stars are unlikable” to hear him say yeah I hate the Sixers and then I burst the fuck out laughing when he in earnest referred to Joel Embiid as “a nasty man”
What an insane thing to say
