I still think it’s not flashy and would be ranked/regarded around the middle of the pack in a tour today. Structurally it reminds me of Hampton 04, which I think is better and goes much deeper

tbh I would love to see several boarders to come to blows about which 2.0 shows are good or mediocre

12/28/03 - I don’t know if anyone has ever thought about or written one word about this show but it’s real good!

However the NYE Stash is the best jam of the run.

Brooklyn - hmm not for me!

Looks like I’ve seen 2 Frankie Says and they were exactly a month apart at that Nassau and Miami

God, remember how in Phish's very most recent show they played that jam and all those other songs and an insanely good Icculus plus those additional songs

Bowie was technically an encore at 8/9/04 (pushes up glasses)

Guy: 2/20/03 is not mediocre, it’s a great fucking show... we listened to it on a long car trip once, Trey bends time in that Tweezer, remember?

anyway, I love how that show was completely shat on by dumb internet fans until like 3.0... we were in the know, though

12/2/03 rocks.. as does 12/28/03... I just love that Miami run so damn much.. the Tube LA Bird Woman sequence is just about the most fun ever

I don’t remember much about 2/20/03, I was just trying to pick a generally well liked show to be contrary about

12/2/03 was my first show, and I thought it was absolutely perfect at the time. Hood is my favorite song and it opened, so that pretty much sealed the deal for me instantly. I'm even a sucker for Anything but Me and All of These Dreams, so pretty much perfect setlist on paper. Haven't done a relisten in nearly 15 years I'd imagine so it's probably due.

Will never forget how fucking cold it was outside the venue prior to showtime. God damn. Not a great time when you're underage and unable to get into bars pre-show.

Not to belabor this... so I had the memory of Nassau 11/28/03 being a show that was trying to cater to fairweathers. With the Bouncing opener, Gin, Sample, and DWD. I think because the Long Island non fans I showed up with knew those songs and flipped for them.

But you are all right. There is an insane energy to this playing and in a very ROCK way that reminds me of some of the chaotic stuff from 93 and 95 in particular.

You could really see why they chose whats the use, Frankie, Waves (what they may have thought was gonna be more breezy but it ended up being another in your face fuckfest), and two versions in these spots. Bc they were kind of tearing the roof off everything else. Fun!

I think about the dude of life in that show saying “here’s to twenty more incredible years of phish!” in the context of everything (good and bad) to come a lot too
